The Last Child

I've done all of this a few times before,
But each time it's different, a little bit more.
With the first one I could take afternoon naps,
Put my feet up, a good book in my lap.
But now with kids of all different ages,
The time is spent elsewhere, I keep getting pages.
Mom tie my shoes, I'm hungry, let's play
It goes along like every other day.
The swollen feet, the aches and pains, the sleepless nights,
All seem to pass when the time is right.
Our little family is finally here,
When the baby comes home they all gather near.
Each child has a place, from the first to the last,
It's hard to believe they all grow so fast.
Take time to play, to nuture, and cherish,
All the tomorrows will some day perish.
The kids will be grown, and ready to go,
We have all the memories, we watched them grow.

High School Graduation

Take a deep breath, it's almost time,
Try not to think of the things you are leaving behind,
It'll always be there, within your soul,
You'll take with you all the things that you know.
A major part of your life to this point,
Is ending tonight as you cross the stage.
Your plans for the future all swim in your head,
As you hope at some point, to earn a good wage.
A doctor, a lawyer, a nurse, or a teacher
Are all fine professions, if you like lots of school.
You want to succeed, to go far in your life,
Good grades, good planning, nobody's fool.
If in the end, you decide to try something totally different,
You will be a success, no matter your choice!
As long as you are happy, in your life after school
You have our support- it's nice to know you have a voice.

The First Child

The first pregnancy is special, the changes all new.
As you figure out, all that's happening to you.
No amount of advice can really compare,
To what you go through, while getting there.
The belly gets big, and your feet lost from view.
But all of it's worth it, to get someone tiny and new.
Nothing comes close to the joy that you feel,
When labor is over and the new baby's here.

Baptism

I'm all dressed in white and ready to go,
The water is freezing- oh no!
My dad is waiting, a smile on his face,
For me to arrive and get into place.
He holds my hands, I hold my nose,
I take a deep breath, and wiggle my toes.
The water goes over every last inch,
Why was I worried, that was a cinch.
The feelings of happiness, comfort and joy,
Are the best gifts to get- over any old toy.
This gift won't break or fade over time,
As long as you remember to walk a straight line.

My Wedding Day

The purpose of my life,
for coming here to earth,
Is to find the perfect mate,
and behold the miracle of birth.
I want to enter the temple,
to be married for all time.
But first I have to find the perfect guy,
and convince him- he is MINE!
The day we say "I DO" for all time,
friends and family will gather to help us celebrate.
From here forward we plan together,
all the things that will make our little family great.
In 50 years we want to look back on our life together,
with more joy than sorrow,
Not wanting to change one little thing-
and looking forward to a lot more tomorrow’s!

Scrapbooking the "EASY" way

I just thought I would post some information on why I created this blog. I wanted to share some of my favorite pages with other scrapbookers, and to invite people who don't know how to scrapbook- but want some books- to get some awsome pages or books made for them. I get to meet some awsome people along the way, and help them preserve some memories my favorite way. I like to write poetry, and I use it for journaling sometimes. I am going to post a few of my favorite poems, so they can be used on your favorite pages too. If you are interested in getting some pages or books made for you, my email address uniquedesigns6@aol.com. If you are interested in the process there is another post explaining all the fun details. I hope to hear from you soon.
